Guest guest
Cilio Porcelain Teapot Set http://shop.twiningsusa.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD & ProdID=335 1.) What are your favorite warm beverages? Coffee, preferably a good, oily Columbian or Arabica blend done to a full city roast, or just before it gets to that roast. Tea: I love a lot of teas. Irish Breakfast tea - a hearty blend of Assam and Keemum brewed strong and with a spash of milk or cream and some honey. Before bed I like the same Irish Breakfast blend but in a natural decaf with a teaspoon or so of golden rum, cream and honey. Prince of Wales, Constant Comment, (if you like spicy black teas, this is a winner), Darjeeling, Golden Monkey - great name, great tea. Alishan Oolong tea - an incredible oolong. Flavored black teas - almond, vanilla, caramel, rum, spice, blackberry, chocolate, orange, coconut (oh this one is good), and more. There are hundreds more that I like, but it would take a day or so to write out. If you come across Assam Marangi at a price that doesn't break your budget, try it. This lovely tea won the 2008 World Tea Championship and tastes differently with each sip. After swallowing, suck air in through your mouth and get another flavor, the wet leaves have a good, earthy aroma, incredible, malty Assam. Basically it boils down to a preference for the darker teas rather than the grassier, green ones. Hot cocoa or hot chocolate - Swiss Miss has a decent sugar free instant hot cocoa. If I don't have that, home made cocoa works (many recipes online), if I don't have cocoa on hand, hot chocolate made with baking chocolate will work. If I don't have that, I have been known to melt the dark, milk or even white chocolate I keep on hand for making candy, adding that to milk and a bit of sugar or honey, whisking constantly. 2.) What are your favorite cold beverages? Diet Pepsi, Diet Mug Root Beer, Sugar Free Italian Cream Soda (Sugar free DaVinci Vanilla syrup, fizzy water, dash of cream - incredible served over ice), iced coffee (After I've had enough hot coffee, I go ahead and add cream and sugar to the still hot coffee, refrigerate and serve over lots of ice), iced tea (orange pekoe, Irish Breakfast blend, sweetened, over ice, any black tea, sweetened and over ice, Alishan, sweetened and over ice....) 3.) Do you have favorites depending on the season or regional weather? If so, what are they? Yes. Winter, hot teas and coffee, Rain, hot teas, lots of hot teas, especially the flavored black teas, and most especially the spice blends (like chai mix - odd, chai means tea, so tea tea, lol), Constant Comment, orange spice blend, Christmas tea blend, caramel tea, vanilla tea, lots more! Go to Adagio teas and visit Tea Chat which is hosted by Adagio but does NOT push Adagio over other tea sellers. Recipes - will have to post later, need to lay down.
