Apologies to devotees of Yogi tea but Yogi ginger tea is the worst thing that

has ever passed my lips. It was even worse (YES, WORSE) than the Gastrographic

and Gastrophage stuff I've had by the gallons for all my many upper GI X rays.

It was alkaline tasting and loaded with black pepper. It tasted like.......well,

I'm not going to say, but oh dear Heaven it was nasty.

Rather than helping my stomach problems it made me barf until I swear my

toenails came up which in turn got my gut to bleeding again. I like many herbal

teas (other than valerian, peppermint and chamomile) but this was HORRID. I am

going to take it outside and burn on the burning pile so it doesn't poison any

of the cute little critters who like to check through the compost pile.

I am praying that Stash and Adagio ginger teas are better. Hugs, Jeanne in GA

PS: who in the world would put black pepper in tea??????

What an experience, Jeanne - I almost felt like I went through it with

you just by reading your very graphic description, LOL. I'm not too

keen on yogi teas either - I think they must be an acquired taste.

Hope you have recovered now.

Yogi is an ayurvedic brand. Ayurveda uses black pepper in many of their

herbal combinations because they say it stimulates the circulation and

activity of the herbs in the body.

Uncle Lee is a Chinese brand. They also add other ingredients to their teas

for the same reasons, but using different principles. I don't care for many

of them.

I don't care for Yogi brand. I always bought Traditional Medicinals because

it is just ginger.
