Guest guest Posted September 23, 2008 Report Share Posted September 23, 2008 Here is my favorite and low calorie way to make Okra. Sometimes I add some diced up green tomatoes in with this. Enjoy, Judy Steam Fried Okra 4-5 c. of Fresh Okra, sliced up in rounds. 1 t. oil salt to taste Add okra to heated oil in a frying pan, over medium heat. Cover the frying pan with a lid and stir often. Add salt to taste. Serve when just tender and still bright green. It is usually ready in about 15 minutes or so.
