QOTW: What is your latest cooking ga

newest cooking gadget: hotpot scavenged from a recycling pile at my oldest

daughter's dorm at the end of the school year.   It's small but we were able to

cook a dish for the family of seven while we were camping out in a motel (long

story, we're moving and the house closing was delayed), and I fixed fresh

shelled peas one night, sugar snap peas another, mushroom flavor ramen noodles

with carrots and celery and onions and shiitake mushrooms to go along with the

peas, mashed potatoes with mixed veggies the second night.... two hot dishes and

fresh fruit for dessert is a whole lot cheaper than going out to a restaurant

for every dinner!

 

Now, favorite cooking item is my set of Cutco knives and two carving

forks--don't know how I could cook without them.  Not new, since I got them ten

or more years ago, but I still enjoy fixing vegetable soup just as an excuse to

work out with the knives.
