I'm glad your miso soup turned out....sounds good.  I like savory and

non-traditional foods for breakfast.

 

I noticed in your profile you live in Asheville.  We drove through there last

Saturday.  We ate at Spirits on the River and stopped off at Green Sage.  I was

happy to see so many options for vegetarians and vegans.  Beautiful area.

Thanks for the help with my question on kombu and shitakes-made my

first dashi this morning,then cut up some daikon,carrots green

onions,added some wakame and plopped in some miso.Boy,was it

goooood!!I had it with a side of sticky rice with a sprinkle of rice

seasoning on it.All in all a very enjoyable breakfast.
