There are groups dedicated to vegan food, vegetarian food, packed lunches/bento and vegetarian/vegan bento. I find that seeing actual pictures is a big help and many people post the recipes they used, or links to the recipe on other sites. The various general bento groups will include meat but I know there are several vegan bento/lunch groups. Not sure if there are any general vegetarian lunch specific groups (including dairy/eggs) but there are a bunch of general vegetarian groups. -- Liz --- On Mon, 8/11/08, artichoke72x@ <artichoke72x@ > wrote: artichoke72x@ <artichoke72x@ > ISO lunch ideas Monday, August 11, 2008, 11:48 AM Hi Everyone, I'm about to start back to work (i'm a pre-k teacher) and my son is about to start back to school. We both take our lunch everyday and we need new ideas for healthy, tasty lunches. I love taking colorful veggies and fruits and healthy foods in my lunch because my students always want to know what I'm eating and it's a teaching opportunity (nutrition, vitamins and minerals, where food comes from, etc). I had a seaweed salad addiction last year and the kids were just tickled when i would eat seaweed with chopsticks. One of the moms came in and said her daughter said Ms. Susie eats seaweed and I responded, " I do! " Perfect opportunity to educate parents as well....it's amazing how some people eat. They have never had their minds open to all the wonderful and diverse foods out there. I ramble..... Anywho, any great lunch ideas? TIA, Susie
