Well, the black eyed pea soup is yummy. I also made some tempe. I cut the

tempe into little bite size cubes and browned it in a little Canola oil.

Have you ever noticed how tempe just sucks the oil right up? When it was

well browned I added to the pan some soy sauce and water and half a jar of

orange marmalade. When the sauce had thickened a bit I turned the fire off

and drizzled a little toasted sesame oil and sprinkled a little sea salt. I

always look at all those fancy expensive sauces in the store and think, I

can do that at home, and I did! Call it tempe in orange sesame glaze.

Magic bullet was bought for me at christmas. I dont use it that often. Not a

big hit in my house like I thought it would be.

 

we also have a rotiserie but not for veggies. Atleast we havent used it for

that yet

Sounds wonderful, Bridget! How much was the slow cooker, if I may ask, and how

long did it take to make the soup? Also I haven't used tempeh yet. Sounds like

it may be about time for me to try it--thanks for sharing this!
