Guest guest
Well, the black eyed pea soup is yummy. I also made some tempe. I cut the tempe into little bite size cubes and browned it in a little Canola oil. Have you ever noticed how tempe just sucks the oil right up? When it was well browned I added to the pan some soy sauce and water and half a jar of orange marmalade. When the sauce had thickened a bit I turned the fire off and drizzled a little toasted sesame oil and sprinkled a little sea salt. I always look at all those fancy expensive sauces in the store and think, I can do that at home, and I did! Call it tempe in orange sesame glaze. Guest guest
Sounds wonderful, Bridget! How much was the slow cooker, if I may ask, and how long did it take to make the soup? Also I haven't used tempeh yet. Sounds like it may be about time for me to try it--thanks for sharing this! BRIDGET CUDDIE <bridget wrote: Well, the black eyed pea soup is yummy.
