I just was reading about this 'Lifesaver' Bottle Purifies Water in Seconds.

This is just an amazing invention for camping, hiking, disaster relief, for

the military and areas of the world where clean water is not available.

Also saves all that plastic from bottled water ending up in landfills. So

Great little device!

 

I used the Steripen in India this Summer, although using it to treat water in my

Camelback proved risky as the water bladder became unsanitary over time due to

the inability of the ultraviolet rays to permeate all of the crannies of the

bladder. I'm hoping they'll develop a system for similarly filtering Camelback

bladders. That would be really helpful. In the mean time, I'll have to be sure

to take a Camelback cleaning system.
