Guest guest
I ran across one of my old favorites. I can't believe I never posted this recipe. Here you go. If you are vegan you can sub the egg with 1/4 cup mashed tofu and it will hold them together. Garbanzo Veggie Burgers 1 (16 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained 1 cup shredded carrot 1 finely chopped celery stalk 1/3 of an onion chopped 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs 2 tablespoons Italian salad dressing 1 egg beaten 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 dash red pepper flakes and some of your favorite herbs 1 pressed garlic clove Mash garbanzo beans with potato masher or by hand. Leave some as slightly large pieces. Stir in carrots, celery, onion, bread crumbs, egg, garlic and salad dressing. Heat oil in nonstick skillet. Shape into 3-4 patties and brown on both sides. About 3 minutes on each side until browned. Garnish toasted buns and enjoy a new type burger.
