Guest guest
I store mine in a Wooden Potato and Onion Bin similiar to this. http://cgi.ebay.com/Amish-Wood-Bread-Box-Vegetable-Bin-Potato-Onion-2-Tier_W0QQi\ temZ140174267622QQihZ004QQcategoryZ13921QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m\ 118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem I bought mine from a neighbor that used to make these and and set up at flea markets on the weekends. His prices were far more reasonable than this one, but I wanted you to see what they look like. It sits on the floor, in my kitchen at room temp. The screen front on them give them air. I line the bottoms of them with wax paper, so that if any potatoes or onion spoil, they won't mess up the wood. It just remove the wax paper after I finish the potatoes and onion and line with fresh, before adding new potatoes or onions. But not refrigerated because that changes them and damages their flavor. I keep them in paper bags in the pantry because they need to breathe to prevent mold and deter spoilage.
