1. What is your name?

2. Where do you live now? Is it the same as where you are originally

from? If different how so?

 

I live on South Mountain on the outskirts of a very small- but

beautiful town on the MD, PA and WV border.

I am from the suburbs of DC so this is very different since we

literally have two traffic lights in town, two police officers and

you can go knock on the mayor's door and talk to her. Downtown looks

like Mayberry and although, I grew up in a wealthy minority

community, I seem to provide most of the racial diversity here.

There is no work here off of the farms so most people- like my

husband- commute 2 hours one way to work. It is very peaceful and

beautiful we have a clear view of the stars and the most amazing

sunsets.

3. When was the last time you saw a wild animal and

what was it?

 

I am looking out the window and this is what I see at this moment:

there is a red-tailed hawk in the tree in the valley,a fox running

back into the woods- I think he was in my compost again. There are

also two woodpeckers in a rotted out tree in the ravine.
