Guest guest
Abby your sandwich sound wonderful!!! Thanks for sharing this idea. Judy I definitely agree - a whole salad of arugula is a little too much! Posted by: " wwjd " jtwigg cvtfluffy Fri Feb 8, 2008 12:38 pm (PST) It is a type of lettuce. Arugula is a spicy little leaf, which some describe as bitter and others characterize as having a " peppery-mustardy " flavor. Because it is so potent on its own, it is often mixed with milder greens to produce a nice balanced salad. It can also be sautéed in olive oil. You can substitute most any green for arugula, but the closest matches are Belgian endive, escarole, and dandelion greens. http://www.gourmets leuth.com/ arugula.htm Abbey Hendricks <abteix > wrote: My current favorite sandwich is Hummus, Arugula and Avocado on whole wheat bread or a spelt tortilla. Something about the creaminess of the spread and the pungent taste of arugula just makes it perfect! Plus - can easily be vegan if you watch your bread choice. -Abbey > Recent Activity a.. 11New Members Visit Your Group Search Ads Get new customers. List your web site in Search. Featured Y!
