Guest guest
I made this for dinner tonight. So good. I adapted the Teriyaki Sauce from the cookbook, Recipes from the Heart. Teriyaki Fri-Chik and Rice 6 c. of Basmati Rice, cooked 7-8 c. of diced veggies(I used onions, green pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, green cabbage, carrots, mushrooms) 1 - 12.5oz can Worthington Fri-chik, drain(save broth Teriyaki Sauce below) and dice into small pieces 1 T. oil 1/2 c. Vegetable broth or 1/2 water mixed with 1 t. of Bills Best Chic'nish seasoning 1 T. Ms. Dash Seasoning Teriyaki Sauce 3/4 c. honey 1/4 c. water 1/2 c. Tamari Sauce 1/4 c. Red wine vinegar 1 T. onion, diced small 1 garlic clove, minced Broth from can of FriChik 3 T. Cornstarch mixed with 1/4 c. water Heat a wok with oil on high. Add the veggies, diced FriChik, vegetable broth, Ms. Dash and mix well. Cover and stir occasionally until veggie are tender crisp. Make the Teriyaki Sauce while the veggie are steaming. To make it, Combine the first 7 ingredients in a heavy sauce pan and bring to a boil. Mix the Cornstarch and remaining 1/4 c. of water together well and stir into the pot with the other ingredients, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and simmer about 10 minutes or until the sauce is thickened and the onions are tender. Pour the Teriyaki Sauce over the steamed veggies and mix well. Add a little cayene if you like spice. Serve over a bed of Basmati Rice........
