Guest guest Posted December 18, 2007 Report Share Posted December 18, 2007 California Dream Bars First layer: 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed 1/2 cup melted butter 1 cup sifted flour Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Mix and press firmly onto the the bottom & sides of an ungreased 8x12 pan. Bake about 15 minutes. Cool a little. Second layer 2 eggs 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1 cup pecans, broken 1 cup shredded coconut 1 T flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt Mix this layer while the crust is cooling. Beat eggs until blended. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Spread over the first layer. Return to the oven and bake about 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
