" 2007 November 18 3:00pm EST St. Odo's Day Dear Feral Vegetarian Group (FVG): Hello. *handshake* Thanksgiving greetings from the VA, USA! I hope that everything is going well with all today! *smile* Happy Thanksgiving & Black Friday 2007 to everyone! *supersmile* Thank you for posting this Group message, Moderator (M); I have my e-mail set to receive e-mail posts only from the M. Therefore, when the M does post, I come out of my little hibernation to add my 2 cents worth! *tongue* I have always wondered myself what other Americans' favorite meal or dish is over the holidays, especially the " health nuts " out there like us, so I can not wait to see the other answers! *wink* [] > What is your absolute favorite entree on your Thanksgiving dinner plate? Oven-baked Macaroni & Cheese w/ real cheese (sharp cheddar) and Mueller's macaroni or brown macaroni (Healthy Harvest) which is better for the grains and for diabetics. > What is your favorite dessert? Homemade Butter Pecan Pie 2nd) America's Dessert: Baked Apple Pie (Since getting into my twenties, I have lost my taste for sweets, candy & desserts, which I loved [:x] as a child, but in those rare cases that I do eat a dessert with a T-Day meal, it would likely be the above) > Please share a recipe for the holiday season this week if you have time. Since I do not have a recipe off the top of my head, I will off a T-Day Tip: Some Americans on the " week " of T-Day try to diet and lose weight in order to make room for the big ole meal. Other Americans wait to the day prior (Eve) of T-Day through T-Day morning to fast....but sometimes " lack of energy " has been an issue w/ many Americans in doing these fastings, which can often be a " shock " to the body, if it was not previously a routine. How many of you would like to still eat the week of and on the Eve of T-Day, not gain weight, and " still " be starving by the T-Day meal?? Well, my friends, I am here to tell you that you CAN have your cake & eat it too! Below is a " liquid " meal that will " not " add to weight gain, but it will give you the " energy " you need to work and function.....AND you will still be starving at the same time for T-Day as your salivating jaws [=P~] await or cook that lovely meal! GREEN TEA HERBAL-TONIC DRINK~o) (Ingredients): 1) Boil water until boiling hot 2) Take a regular size coffee cup 3a) Put one tablespoon of raw honey (You can purchase Mountain Ridge raw honey at any store including Wal-Mart) 3b) Put one OR two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar (For less tart taste = 1 tsp; for more tart taste = 2 tsp) (You can purchase White House cider anywhere) 3c) Add one green tea or regular tea bag into cup 4) Finally pour hot water into cup; mix/stir and let it cool (5 min.) and enjoy (best to drink it with a straw, do not sip it)! *Note: May taste very tart [:- & ] and awkward at first....but it something you'll have to get use to, like eating brussel sprouts [] **Secret: The main active ingredient (IV) here is the honey which is super rich in liquid protein like meat; therefore, that makes this drink a meal. If one took this drink every 3 hours or 3X a day on T-Day Eve or days prior, you will have energy to work and function still with the benefits of not gaining weight...as a matter of fact this liquid meal will clear out your stomach and make you more hungry for T-Day!!! Alternative liquid meal: Boost Plus 3X day! *lol* *tongue* May everyone in FVG keep up the beautiful image and spirituality. In this Fall/Autumn season, stay healthy with the " virus fighter " of natural honey w/ green tea and apple cider, the immune system rebuilder of chopped garlic & parsley in your foods and plenty of Vitamin C and be well! *wink* Take care for now! *PAX* Respectfully, ART ~~Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often~~ , " feralvegetarian_moderators " <feralvegetarian_moderators wrote: > > Time again for some more questions of the week [QOTW]. > Thanksgiving Day is approaching fast in the USA, so I thought > it would be fun to share about this day of feasting. > > What is your absolute favorite entree on your Thanksgiving > dinner plate? > > What is your favorite dessert? > > Please share a recipe for the holiday season this week if > you have time. >
