Guest guest
A classic recipe from our files. Don't have room in your oven during Thanksgiving? Then here is a recipe adapted for a slow cooker. Slow-Cooked Sage Dressing 14 to 15 cups day old bread crumbs 3 cup chopped celery 1 1/2 cups chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp rubbed sage 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 3/4 cup melted butter or margarine 3/4 cup vegetarian mushroom broth or veggie chicken broth In a large bowl, combine bread, celery, onion, sage, salt and pepper; mix well. Add butter and toss. Spoon into a 5 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, stirring once. Yield, about 12 servings.
