Guest guest Posted November 10, 2007 Report Share Posted November 10, 2007 Crock Pot Thanksgiving Green Bean Casserole Recipe from: Joanie's Kitchen. 2 large bags (1 lb. ea.) Green Giant frozen cut green beans, thawed 1 cup (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained 1/2 cup roasted red bell peppers (from a 7 oz. jar), cut into small strips 1/4 tsp. salt 2 container (10 oz.) refrigerated Alfredo pasta sauce* 1 can (2.8 oz.) French fried onions Spray inside of a 3 to 4 quart crock pot with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients except onions. Stir in half of the onions, spoon mixture into the crock pot. Cover and cook on LOW heat setting for 3 to 4 hours, stirring after 1 to 1-/2 hours. About 5 minutes before serving, heat the remaining half of the onions in a 6 inch skillet, over medium high heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir frequently, until hot.
