Guest guest Posted October 26, 2007 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 Danish Slaw ~~~Slaw~~~ 1 medium head cabbage, cored and shredded 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 cup white sugar In a large bowl, toss together the cabbage, onion, and 1 cup sugar. ~~~Dressing~~~ 1 cup vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. white sugar 1 tsp. prepared yellow mustard 3/4 cup vegetable oil In a small sauce pan, combine the vinegar, salt, celery seed, 1 tsp. white sugar, mustard and oil. Bring to a boil, and cook for 3 minutes. Cool completely, then pour over cabbage slaw mixture, and toss to coat. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor. Serves: 8.
