Guest guest
I recently tried this recipe that was in my " to-try " file. It came out really good. I used a suggested method of pulsing the minced dried onion in my food processor a bit first. Not so much that it was like onion powder, but just enough to make the bits smaller. There is another recipe for this dressing in my files, but I haven't tried that yet. When I use up this batch that will be next. Italian Dressing Mix 1 Teaspoon dried minced onion 1 Tabsp dried parsley, crushed 1/4 Teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 Teasp crushed basil leaves 1/4 Teasp thyme or marjoram 1/2 Teaspoon celery seeds 1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder 2 Tabsp grated parmesan cheese 1 1/2 Teaspoons granulated sugar 1/8 Teaspoon salt 1/8 Teaspoon pepper Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, stirring until evenly distributed. Pour into a small container with a tight-fitting lid or wrap airtight in heavy-duty foil. Seal container. Label with date and contents. Store in a cool, dry place. Use within 6 months. Makes 1 package or about 4 tablespoons Italian Dressing Mix. ~ PT ~ We had fed the heart on fantasies, The heart's grown brutal from the fare; More substance in our enmities Than in our love. ~ W. B.
