Guest guest
Buttermilk-Herb Dressing Serves 16;1 tablespoon per serving 2 tablespoons light reduced-calorie mayonnaise 3/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese 1/3 cup low-fat buttermilk 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped onion 1 teaspoon dill 1 teaspoon basil 1/2 teaspoon leaf oregano 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Dash hot pepper sauce In blender or work bowl of a food processor, combine mayonnaise, cottage cheese, buttermilk and onion. Process until smooth; add remaining ingredients and process 10 seconds more. Cover and refrigerate. Chill at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to blend. Tip: For a richer flavor -- and a dressing with a higher calorie count -- increase mayonnaise and reduce the amount of cottage cheese.
