It will definitely be a salad, veggie burger and watermelon day. I

came across a recipe for veggie oat burgers. Has anyone tried them,

and are the edible? I must admit, I haven't had time to check out the

FV's recipes, and this may be listed:

Ingredients

4 cups old fashion oatmeal

4 cups water

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup brewer's yeast

1 Tablespoon garlic powder

1 Tablespoon onion powder

1 Tablespoon sage

Preparation Steps

Bring to boil all ingredients EXCEPT oatmeal

While ingredients are boiling add oatmeal and REMOVE from heat.

DO NOT STIR! Mix lightly by pushing oatmeal under the water--a few

times.

Cover and remove from heat.

Turn oven to 375.

While cooling, oil a baking pan.

Form patties, balls or links with spoon(if mixture is too hot for

oiled hands)

Put into baking pan and bake on each side for about 15-20 minutes.

Cool and enjoy.

Cook Tips

Prepare mixture a day ahead so that seasoning settle.

Leftovers can be used as a pizza sausage by adding italian seasoning

and sauteeing with onions.

Leftovers can be used as a taco meat by adding taco seasoning.

Great for all those who want to change to a vegetarian diet.

May prayers go out to our service men and women.

Blessings, Jack
