Guest guest
This is the salad that I will be making tonight for tomorrow's BBQ. Everyone seems to enjoy it and it makes a lot so there is plenty to share with a large group. I also like that there is no mayo so it is safer if it sets out of the refrigerator longer. California Pasta Salad 1 pound thin spaghetti or vermacelli, broken into 1-inch pieces, cooked 3 large tomatoes, diced 2 medium zucchini, diced 1 large cucumber, diced 1 medium green pepper, diced 1 medium sweet red pepper, diced 1 large red onion, diced 2 cans (2-1/4 oz) sliced black olives, drained 1 bottle (16 oz) Italian dressing 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 Tbs sesame seeds 2 tsp poppy seeds 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp celery seed 1/4 tsp garlic powder Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight to combine flavors. Yield: 10-15 servings ~ PT ~ Consideration for others is the basis of a good life, a good society. ~ Confucius (551-479 BC)
