Guest guest
My family loves veggie burgers! I've made about 20 different variations using combinations of rice (brown of course), lentils, beans, veggies of all sorts, eggs, psyllium husk, nuts and seeds. While they are all delicious, I have yet to get the consistency right so that they don't fall apart when I flip them. If anyone has any tips or a fool-proof recipe I'd be ever so grateful. Thanks in advance! Kyra P.S. I enjoyed the best beet and walnut veggie burger in Field BC at the Truffle Pigs Cafe and Bistro. Super yummy fair trade organic coffee too! Guest guest
Hi, Living in Asia, I feel like I am in the " land of natural food " Things we have in the health food store are normal things you can buy on the street or in a store here. I had been trying to find out the secret of keeping tofu burgers together before I came here. Well, they give samples of home made veggie burgers in the grocery store here, and one time the tofu came in " kit " You combine the tofu, or what have you, veggies and egg, but then I found out what holds the stuff together. Plain old flour. The kit had about two or three tablespoons in a packet, and it worked just great. Took a bath in a tub with ten people this morning, and the water was brown because it was infused with ginseng. Can't wait to see someone do that in America! good luck, Pam
