Apple Kuchen

 

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1 pkg. yellow cake mix

1/2 cup flaked coconut

1 (20 oz.) can pie sliced apples, well drained or 2 1/2 cups baking

apples, sliced

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 cup sour cream

2 egg yolks or 1 egg

 

Preheat oven to 350°. Cut margarine into dry cake mix until crumbly.

Mix in coconut. Lightly pat mixture into bottom of ungreased 9 " x 13 "

pan, guiding up the edges slightly. Bake for 10 minutes. Arrange apple

slices over warm crust.

 

Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Blend together the

egg and sour cream and drizzle over the apples. Bake for 25 minutes

until light brown.
