I like both the mayo versions and the vinegrette versions. Keeping this kind you make onhand for sandwich fillers and crunchy green stuff in the winter is a wonderful idea. Guest guest
Cole Slaw 1 small head cabbage OR 1/2 small head each, red and green cabbage 1/4 cup finely grated carrot, optional 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Miracle Whip salad dressing 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1/4 cup water 1/2 tsp. salt Grate or finely shred cabbage. Place in a large bowl, and if using grated carrot, toss it into the cabbage and set aside. Whisk all the other ingredients together in a separate bowl. Pour over the cabbage and toss to mix well. For best taste, refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before serving.
