Guest guest Posted April 24, 2007 Report Share Posted April 24, 2007 Candy Apple Pie 5 cups cooking apples 1/2 cup cinnamon red hots 1/4 cup sugar (for filling) 2 tablespoons sugar (for topping) 1/4 cup flour 2 deep dish frozen pie crusts (or you can make your own) Directions: *peel and cube apples *preheat oven 375 degrees *in large bowl, toss together apples, candies, 1/4 cup sugar and flour *pour into bottom of one pie crust *sprinkle 2 Tablespoons sugar into second pie crust, crumble that pie crust into approximately 1 inch pieces *sprinkle crumbled pie crust over apple mixture in the other crust *place on a preheated baking sheet *bake 55-65 minutes *serve with ice cream if desired NOTE: there will be alot of " juice " in this pie Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
