Guacamole Picado

 

4 ripe avocados, seed removed

2 green onions (white part only), chopped fine

2 Roma tomatoes, diced small

1/4 cup red onion, diced small

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1-1/2 TB lime juice

1/2 tsp. cumin

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp.salt

 

Scoop the flesh out of the avocado and into a large mixing bowl, using a

fork, coarsely mash avocados, leaving some chunks

 

Add remaining ingredients and stir gently until well blended.

 

Spoon into serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of

the guacamole and chill for at least 30 minutes.

 

Serve with tortilla chips.

 

Yield: 4 cups.
