Guest guest
I have seen a few people asking for ideas on going veg or just simple meald in general. I figured I would put my 2 cents in...these are just a few that are on the top of my head...these are a few that I did in the begining of my transition. It was a little rough for about two weeks. One day i just noticed that all my cravings (meat or otherwise) were gone and I just fell into a natural rhythm of eating. Cheese was the biggest for me to let go of, so that waas more gradual. Now, I am mostly vegan and feel great... hope it helps. Stephanie * Just have all the sides minus the meat *Add 1 onion, 2 zuchini,2 yellow squash and about 2 cups shredded carrots to your favorite large jar of spaghetti sauce. Serve over pasta *Use Gardenburger Mama Mia meatballs to make meatball subs *Use lots of veggies or some veggie pepperoni and a boboli with pizza sauce to make a pizza *Order your favorite chinese food and substitute tofu for the meat *For soft tacos/burritos, use vegetarian refried beans mixed with taco seasoning instead of meat or just cook up some onions and green & red peppers to fill tortillas *Have eggplant parmesan instead of chicken parmesan *Stuff a pita pocket with loads of veggies * make a veggie salad instead of chicken or tuna salad by chopping your favorite veggies in a food processor and mixing with vegenaise *put mixed veggie salad in processor a little longer to make a spread for crackers *puree fruit and add to oatmeal or plain yogurt *beans and rice with tomatoes and corn *cereal with soy or rice milk
