Guest guest
I have been making the gomasio sesame salt for some time. But this time the salt all sunk to the bottom of the bowl as I make more than one recipe and ended up with most of the salt in the last batches. So, it was so terribly salty which then I toasted more sesame seeds to balance and remixed all of what I had made together. I use the blender to crush it. Any way, two questions. Do you need to toast the salt? Can I then add it after the sesame seeds have been crushed? And can you freeze this stuff or how long will it last in the refrigerator. I use a lot, but I ended up with three quarts of the stuff by the time I sort of got it fixed. Any suggestions? As I am writing this I think I am seeing answers to my own questions. LOL But can I freeze it or just keep it refrigerated and for how long? minnie
Guest guest
Late in being able to add my 2¢, and they are not even going to be worth that as far as helping you find answers. I have never made that much at one time and have not ever tried to freeze or store it in the fridge for any length. Do let us know what you discover though. I have always thought gomasio would make a nice gift idea, so making it in larger batches is interesting. ~ PT ~ The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. ~Robert Louis Stevenson, novelist, essayist, and poet(1850-1894) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , " minnie " <minnie1boo wrote: > > I have been making the gomasio sesame salt for some time.
