Guest guest
The group questions of the week [qotw] for April 15th-21st are: Do you have any special goals for this spring season? [gardening, cleaning, dietary changes, weightloss, exercise, simplifying, etc] Also, this coming April 22nd is Earth Day! How do you plan to make it memorable and/or keep the spirit of Earth Day alive in your life throughout the year?
Guest guest
Our community has many activities planned for Earth Day so will be attending those to show support and to get support. I do all that I can at this point and under my particular circumstances to make as light a foot print on the our planet Earth every day including my eating choices and the fact that I grow organically probably at least 80% of my food and on less than 1/2 acre. Being vegan makes it much easier to avoid the stores, the toxins in animals and the killing of them. I try to think in terms of " is this really necessary or just desired and for how long will it be desirable. " So I don't buy, only the absolute necessaries...bras are still on my list of " is this necessary? " LOL No, no particular goals for this season beyond the normal. Get out of bed, get my butt in gear. Just to keep learning about raising my own food and how to preserve it, keeping things simple, but tell me what does this " cleaning " thing refer too? Dietary changes? Keep it simple, pure and natural. I had already found some personal care products some time ago that were animal by-product free and not tested on animals. And so spent March finding products that were also not made from synthetic ingredients and were organic. That I have accomplished. Oh, wait, I do have a goal. To withdraw from meaningless e-mail groups that absorb my time. I am one of those that can't leave a post unopened and don't feel good until the box is cleared. So, I have done that in the past few days. I am hoping that this group provides recipes from individuals that are actually cooking them for normal families instead of what I see a lot of where one person posts endless recipes that aren't simple or inexpensive. I can find those on line at any given time. I always get a chuckle when they say that they are cooking those recipes...if they were at the rate they post them they would be unable to get out of their chairs. minnie - " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll > The group questions of the week [qotw] for April 15th-21st are: > Do you have any special goals for this spring season? > [gardening, cleaning, dietary changes, weightloss, exercise, > simplifying, etc] > Also, this coming April 22nd is Earth Day!
