Guest guest
Amen Sister! This is so true! I am in a situation very much like yours. My husband and his kids eat meat, I don't. I will cook for everyone but I encourage my husband and his girls to always do their own meat. Up until the 31st, I was also cooking for my little pekingese and that was never an issue for me. But we lost him on the 31st (my heart is broken), so it is harder now doing it at all. I completely agree with taking the high ground. I would think that all of us Vegetarians and vegans out there , at one time or another, will have to endure the meat-eaters rant about everything from where we get our protein from to " vegetables are as alive as animals, and you eat those! " I have found that as Gayle said, it's best to take the high ground. This was very hard when I was a new vegetarian and I have found through experience that it's best not to argue about it. Also, and once again as Gayle mentioned, I have found that it is ALWAYS a good idea to bring a vegetarian dish to share when you are invited somewhere. You will find that once in a blue moon, someone won't want you to bring something and will tell you that. In cases like that, eat something before you go. Oh, and one other thing, read labels and ask questions. " They " hide animal in the weirdest places. Stef Argue not with dragons, for thou art crunchy and go well with brie.
