Guest guest
Hello all, I'm weathering this nor'easter by simmering up a hot (and I mean hot!) batch of chili. But, I've got a wee little problem. I decided I wanted to use three kinds of beans instead of two, so I'm left with some opened cans of beans. And, like a dolt, I poured out the liquid they were stored in. Can I cover them with regular water and store them? Or are they lost to me for good? Thanks in advance! -K
Guest guest
Hi, I am guessing you could use water if you plan to use the beans in a week or so, because they won't keep very long in the fridge opened. MaryB.

You could even bag them up and put them in your freezer if you don't have any plans to use them in the next few days. I would suggest grabbing a wonderful recipe out of our files for bean burgers and using them up though. ~ PT ~ Life travels upward in spirals. ~ Andre Gide
