Guest guest
> People are so duh... My mother made brussels sprouts this way and now I do, too as the whole family, even extended loves them. My parents always grew them, too. First cut off the bottom of the brussel sprout and remove any discolored outer leaves. Next, place a fairly deep X cut into the bottom where the stem was to facilitate fast and even cooking. Next blanch them in water and cook to desired tenderness. Meanwhile, chop up lots of garlic, I use a mini chopper or mezzaluna and saute in olive oil in a saute pan that is large enough to hold the cooked brussels sprouts in a single layer. Next, toss in the sprouts and sprinkle bread crumbs on top and saute until crumbs are lightly browned and serve. I serve them every holiday dinner that I can get them. I always use fresh sprouts and they are always eaten up entirely. > Quick Veggie Rant > Posted by: " starrypryncess " starrypryncess starrypryncess > > Tue Mar 13, 2007 5:54 am (PST) > > OMG...
