Guest guest
OMG... I was in the store last night and a little boy (about 3yo)was asking his dad what brussel sprouts were. Instead of encouraging his young son to try new things he said, " Brussels sprouts are disgusting vegtables that no one eats. Don't worry I won't make you eat them, you wouldn't like them anyway. " WHAT??????????? I don't like brussels sprouts myself but if my children ever question me about them I would encourage them to try them and form their own opinion. What kind of lesson is this man teaching his child about eat nutritious veggies? End rant. Sorry about that folks, Whitney

Guest guest
Wow, what a foolish and close-minded man, Stephanie! I hope they both learn better than that, and soon. For the record, I think Brussels sprouts can be good shredded and not cooked too much. And seasoned right. Basically rendered unrecognizable. ;-) My least-favorite veggie, incidentally, would have to be cauliflower. The smell, the shape, the taste, the texture, the *smell*...I have encountered no way that I like it, and strongly suspect that the only way to improve on it would be a magic wand. But I tried it!
