Guest guest
Nut Crunch 1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 3 Tablespoons water Cook this in a heavy saucepan until it reaches 295 F [146 C] on a candy thermometer. Add in 1 1/2 cups of coarsly chopped nuts (almonds and hazelnuts aka filberts are two of my favorites). Immediately pour onto a buttered cookie sheet (or any large flat pan) spread it out to make a 12''12'' square. Melt semisweet chocolate and spread it over the top of the candy. Sprinkle finely chopped nuts on top of this. Cool (refrigerate if you can). Break into small pieces and eat. Yummy! Sort of like the American candy Almond Roca but far superior.
