Guest guest Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 Tea Cookies 1 cup shortening 1-1/2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon soda 4 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup buttermilk 1 to 1-1/4 teaspoon almond extract Preheat oven to 350F. Cream shortening, gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed of electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt, add to creamed mixture, alternately with buttermilk; mix well. Stir in extract cover and chil1 for 1 hour. Roll dough on floured surface.
