Burger Mix with Burger Recipe (Vegetarian)

 

1/2 cup dry chick peas

1/4 cup dry soybeans

1/4 cup dry lentils

1/4 cup peanuts

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cup oats

1/4 cup corn meal

1/4 cup wheat germ

2 TB soy flour

1 TB nutritional yeast

2 TB dried parsley

1 tsp. baking soda

1-1/2 tsp. salt

 

~~~To make 2 patties~~~

1 cup mix

1/3 cup hot water

Dash soy sauce

 

To make the Mix:

Grind beans, nuts, seeds and oats until they resemble coarse flour. Combine

with remaining

ingredients. Store airtight. Shake before using to distribute ingredients.

 

Makes 4 cups, enough for 8 burgers or 24 fritters.

 

To make the Burgers:

Mix and let stand 15 minutes. Shape into patties & fry in hot oil until bottom

is brown. Turn, cover

and cook about 5 minutes longer.

 

Shape into 6 balls and deep fry.

 

Notes: Other beans and grains may be used as long as the total quantity

equals the same.
