Guest guest
I have an old Dazey Chef's Pot. It doubles as a deep frier with the ceramic liner out. It doesn't have the usual crockpot low, medium, or high heat options. Rather it has a range of temps from warm [below 200 F] to 200 F to 450 F, with every 50 degrees marked on the dial. It's a great gadget; originally, it had a pan insert for baking bread as well as a fry basket. So now my question is--BADA BADA BOOM!--what temp do you think " low " on your crockpot is? The custard recpe sounds like it would be great fun to try. Thanks. , PunkinPie68 wrote: > > Crock Pot Baked Custard > > Ingredients > 2 cups milk > 5 eggs > 1/3 cup super fine (castor) sugar > 1 tsp vanilla > pinch salt > 1/4 tsp nutmeg > > Method > 1.Place all ingredients except nutmeg in crock pot. > > 2.Wisk until combined. > > 3.Sprinkle nutmeg on top.4.Cook on low for 8 hours.
