Guest guest Posted January 17, 2007 Report Share Posted January 17, 2007 Old Fashioned Coleslaw 2 TB sugar 2 TB vinegar 1 TB water 2 TB vegetable oil 1/2 tsp. celery seeds Dash salt Dash ground black pepper 2 TB sour cream 4 cups cabbage with carrots, shredded 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped Outer leaves from purple cabbage, as garnish To make the Dressing: In a small saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar and water; heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. In a blender, combine the sugar mixture, oil, celery seeds, salt and pepper. Cover and blend until will mixed. Add sour cream; cover and blend until combined. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage with carrots and green bell pepper. Add dressing; toss to coat. Serve immediately or cover and chill in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours.
