Guest guest Posted January 9, 2007 Report Share Posted January 9, 2007 Sautéed Bananas 2 large servings 3 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons Butter Flavor CRISCO 2 tablespoons half-and-half 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla 2 large bananas, sliced Vanilla ice cream (optional) Combine brown sugar, Butter Flavor Crisco, half-and-half and vanilla in medium skillet. Cook and stir on medium heat until mixture boils. Boil and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add sliced bananas. Stir gently to coat. Cook on low heat about 2 minutes, or until soft, stirring occasionally. Serve plain or over ice cream. Variation: Follow recipe above. Substitute 2 large apples, cored and sliced, for bananas.
