Guest guest
Douglas, That is really interesting. I don't think those industries are evil. Someone has to do it. The question is to do a good honest job and do it consciously. I hope you like it there. GB , Douglas Anderson <djandersonza wrote: > > Hi GB > I was in diamond exploration and now work in oil. Hmmm, I seem to be always involved in the 'evil' industries, work for satan and all that. Hahaha, oh well, we all have to make a living. > At teh moment I work in oil exploration. It is my job to look at teh geology and recommend a drilling plan. No, I am not a drilling engineer, but recommend the drill bits to be used. Guest guest
It is interesting. By the way, that was my little joke. You know how every body claims that the US is at war for the oil, and how diamonds fuel wars in Africa. Both are probably partly true, the latter definately so, but generally speaking I have worked for 'ethical' companies. They do still try to take advantage of situations. And yes, I do enjoy my life. I am a nomad. My parents are children of settlers, colonists (to use the dirty word), and that blood is in my veins. I like the adventure, I like the fact that each day is different, but sometimes it does get you down. So what about you? What is it that you do? greatyoga <greatyoga wrote: Douglas, That is really interesting. I don't think those industries are evil. Someone has to do it.
