Sounds like you are quite a wonderful party host, to have as many as 250 folks

at one time.

I'm impressed. You definitely have the gift of hospitality.

Our get togethers are usually 50 or far less and I wouldn't classify them as

quiet. LOL

We love get-togethers also.

I will generally create a buffet table and always include one seperate from

the others that is totallyKosher foods. I serve Salads, finger foods, small

nibles and some sweets along with a table for beverages and have found that

generally works the best. In the past I have had as many as 250 people attend

through out the day and evening to as little as 10 for just a quiet evening.

Question of the Week - How do you host Parties?

When you host parties during the Christmas Season, do you tend to do whole

meals, snack foods, buffets, potlucks or something else? Do you like

getting together with just one other person/family or big groups?

We always get such great ideas from everyone. I look forward to them.

Judy,

It may help that I spent many years catering partys and such at a military base

and was able to gain a lot of " how to's " when it came to arranging things.

Then over the years, I've added a lot of fun things. I did a New Years party in

Black and White with touch's of gold and mauve. I think that was my favorite

one. I used white table cloths, black candles Gold candle toppers, mirrors under

the candles and some mauve silk flowers I had. It was wonderful. And I must tell

you, that party Day when I had that 250..I promice i will NEVER to that one

again..lol. Took me 2 days to recover !

That sounds so pretty and elegant. Where on earth did you find BLACK candles.

I don't think I've ever seen them. LOL I just saw some black pillowcases in the

store the other day. I didn't realize they made those either. What is a cold

candle topper. Your ideas inspire me. I love hearing all of those great ideas.

I bet that 250 was stressful and very time consuming. It is a lot of

preparations and work.

Hers to lots of great Holiday hosting for all.
