Guest guest
I heard a silly commercial and even though we are not vegetarians Tiny gave me the strangest look because he knows that Miss Donna is a vegetarian. Anyhow the commercial (on sirus radio online) says that Christy Brinkly is a vegetarian that still eats fish.. Tiny says fish is an animal and wants to know how she can consider it a veggie. I have read here before the reason for this but cant find it to explain it to him. Thanks in Advance Jenn
Guest guest
Hi Jenny I am one. Donna was the one who put me right. We are pigoen-holed as pescatarians or pesca-vegetarian. Yes fish is an animal, and this is the only meat that we eat. As for the arugment for or against it, well, I am a pesca-vegetarian for moral choice and dietry choice. There is a certain morality to it as well, as the fish are really the only free-range products out there I guess. Anyway, my chief reason is, or rather was, health, and the range of additives that were added to the meat as well as animal rights. However, eating fish is probaly one of the greatest sources of toxins these days. I work in Angola, here meat is often the only food available, so eating fish means that I don't go hungry. Another reason is environmental, and I do only eat that which is sustainaly harvested. There are many reasons why one makes these choices, vegetarianism, meat, what ever. My sister-in-law, for example, is a flexi-pollo-vegetarian; generally the only meat she will consume is chicken, however, if eating at a friends or is presented with a meat dish, she will eat it. Her reason is simply taste, she doesn't like the taste of meat.
