Trust me you would never grind pods from black cardamom and add to Swedish desserts or baking. They are a strong smoke flavor. It's so odd how little is known about the pods and yet I see recipes all the time telling you to sub with mace, cinnamon or nutmeg. It is not the same thing. Do you have any pods or ground cardamom?
