Guest guest
Oh Sara I am so sorry. Sending you a BIG hug and remember all the good times you spent with your dear Gran. Yes I have cooked meat over the 25 years I have been a vegetarian. I spent 12 years married to a non-veg, he almost always ate non-veg meals but there were times we had company or a holiday came around or I would help make holidays meals that contained non-veg ingredients, or he would bring home clean fish he caught, and I would on occasion end up in the kitchen cooking these things. MY whole family is now vegetarian except one nephew and if he would bring meat over when he came to visit and ask me to help him cook it I would, he's eating vegetarian dishes now when he visits and gets his burger on the outside. I say do what you are confoatble doing and don't try to change Grampy, I'm sure he won't budge and life right now is probably very hard for him to deal with. Help him along, try to make him meals that are vegetarian and tasty and maybe he won't notice there isn't any meat. Have you tried vegetable lasagna, or chili with Crumbl;es in it, that type thing? What about tostadas with beans rice, and all the other trimmings on top? Love you back, Donna --- RhymeMaster0313 wrote: > This is just an opinion thing. Guest guest
Sara, So sorry about your grandmother... If I were in your position, I know I'd be cooking things that my grandpa liked...we would n't force feed meat to an elderly vegetarian, I wouldn't cook tofu for an older relative unless he liked it. Of course you can incorporate veg meals frequently., or sort of a add a meat " side dish " to what ever you are making. My husband is still a meat eater and while during regular meals, 95 % of the cooking is veg-he will be having a turkey tomorrow. melissa p , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Oh Sara I am so sorry.
