Guest guest Posted November 17, 2006 Report Share Posted November 17, 2006 Holiday Sage Stuffing 6 Tablespoons of olive oil 3/4 cup chopped onion 1-1/2 cup chopped celery 12 cups day-old bread torn into pieces 1-1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. pepper 3 tsp. dried sage 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning hot water or vegetarian chicken flavored broth Place bread in a large bowl. Mix in seasonings and let set , covered , overnight. Next day saute onion and celery until crisp tender. Add to seasoned bread Add enough hot liquid to moisten mixture. Best if medium damp not wet.
