Guest guest
For further information about cultures that don't eat meat, etc., you might want to read The China Study by Campbell. According to the author, a nutritionist, we can get every nutrient that we need from eating only plant-based foods and no meat, dairy or animal products. He says that his scientific studies have shown that animal-based foods are the cause of many things, like heart disease and cancer. He talks about doctors that have helped their patients actually reverse heart disease with a plant-based diet. It is amazing, yet he says that the powerful groups affiliated with the meat and dairy industries have prevented this information from being presented to the public. This book is so convincing that I have recently given up all animal-based products just on the basis of health and not for any other reason. So far, I feel great and I believe I am losing weight, too. Has anyone else read this book? I'd love to know what you thought about it. Guest guest
My personal opinion, I read it and it's not my favorite book and I didn't agree with several things I read. It finally got boring and I stopped 3/4 th of the way through.
