Guest guest
WARM APPLE-BLUEBERRY COBBLER 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces and chilled 2 cups apple pie filling 1 pint fresh blueberries Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Lightly butter 6 (6-ounce) creme brulee dishes. Set aside. To make the streusel topping, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small mixing bowl. Add the butter and, using your fingertips, incorporate the butter into the flour mixture to make coarse crumbs. Set aside. Combine the apple pie filling and blueberries in a medium mixing bowl. Spoon the mixture into the reserved dishes, smoothing out the tops. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or just until the fruit begins to boil. Remove from the oven and generously cover the top of each cobbler with some of the reserved streusel topping. Return the cobblers to the oven and bake them for about 25 minutes, or until the topping is crunchy and golden brown. Remove from the heat and then serve hot with a scoop of ice cream. ______________________________\ ____ Sponsored Link Compare mortgage rates for today. Get up to 5 free quotes.
