Guest guest
http://www.sewing.org/enthusiast/html/ef_ricebags.html You would need to make them out of material and sewing would be required, but only straight seams. It is easy. I love the ideas on this site. Have a look at it. http://www.sewing.org/enthusiast/html/ef_ricebags.html Here is another site on making them. http://www.nmia.com/~mgdesign/qor/quiltlits/ricebag/ricebag.htm And here is a site with a picture of them. http://www.hugzplus.com/ I enjoy rubber stamping, but haven't done it in a while. Do you use that heat gun and emboss with that stuff you sprinkle on your wet ink? Do you just get bags & tie them w/ a pretty tag & ribbobn? I do a lot of scrapbooking and card / tag making..but I can't sew to save my LIFE! LOL I can't even sew a button. When I lose a button on a button down shirt, I remove all the buttons & " layer " hahaha!!!! I have a few pictures of some felted fish I have knit, they are very whimisical and fun. I've made a dozen or so Christmas stockings, mostly cross stitch but now knit stockings as well. I'll have to take a picture of them. I'll try and post some when I find the CDs. (can we make photo folders of our own on this list?) I used to sew a lot, I made all the curtains in the house, pillows, clothes. I used to sew a lot of clothes for my oldest daughter but then she got an opinion of what she would and would not wear. When I had to dress professionally I made a lot of dresses, pants, and business suits for work. (this was back when you could save money sewing your own clothes, jeez was that only 20 years ago?) Hope I didn't put anyone to sleep..... AmyF
Guest guest
OHH I'll have to check out these sites :0) I want to make something special (and thrifty) for the ladies at work this year. Sometimes I emboss my stamping, sometimes I just stamp & distress/ color it and make it look all cool & antiquey (is that even a word?) and then add embellishments such as eyelets, hemp twine, ribbon, etc. and I love distressing with a sponge & brown ink. I do the same w/ my scrapbooking I am an addict! Check out www.organizedchristmas.com for some neat homemade ideas, I might do the cookie or soup mix in a jar along w/ the rice bags. I do need to learn how to sew first huh? HMMMM!!!
